Trio Vaniata enjoys performing chamber music for Ottawa residents. Their performances have been well attended by people from all walks of life and from all parts of Ottawa.
Trio Vaniata’s motivation is simple: gather talented musicians, create a well-designed program, promote the concert and people will come! Chamber concerts can be very intimate occasions with musicians not only interacting with each other but with the audience as well. This comes from a love of the genre as well as a devotion to introducing chamber music to all: aficionados to the uninitiated.
TRIO VANIATA, (and NBC and Friends) have performed at University of Ottawa and Ottawa’s Mennonite Church, where they performed Robert Schumann’s Märchenerzählungen (Fairy Tales) and August Klughardt’s Schilflieder (Songs of the Reeds), specifically written for oboe, viola and piano. TRIO VANIATA is currently preparing to augment its repertoire, concentrating on pieces that incorporate selections for oboe with piano accompaniment and viola with piano accompaniment.
