Sacred Choral Music, Church Tours and Lectures

Join us in the Church to enjoy a variety of Christian choral groups and experience the different repertoires that guide them in their worship. After listening to the choirs, please join us for a 15 minute tour of the Church.

Ukrainian Food Demonstrations

The Capital Ukrainian Festival just got tastier with the inclusion of a special presentation on Ukrainian cuisine by award winning Chef Tim Wasylko. Getting to see a culinary master in action is a treat and those who attend the workshop will get to see Wasylko’s prepare some of the staples of Ukrainian food. He’ll be making varenyky (perogies), and borshch (beet soup).

The Choir of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church

The Choir of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church leads the worship of Ottawa’s oldest Orthodox parish, which was founded more than 100 years ago by Ukrainian immigrants from Bukovyna. The choir’s multilingual repertoire represents a wide range of Orthodox liturgical traditions and includes compositions by members of the choir. The ensemble has released two recordings, the most recent of which (2013) is “The Voice of Our Prayer.” Conducting is shared by Pani Matka Yvonne Lysack (Director) and Michael Lang.
